What We Offer

We provide 15 private rooms and offer transitional, long-term, and respite care services with individualized care plans. Our dedicated staff and volunteers provide medical, nutritional, social, and spiritual services that add up to optimal living.

Dementia Unit
Our secure dementia unit, entitled Golden Pond, is staffed by individuals trained to address dementia specific symptoms and behaviors in a caring way. Using a social model, this environment is supportive and care is tailored to the stage of impairment. Experiences are focused to enhance residents’ self-esteem and comfort.

Rehabilitation Services
Augustana’s reputation in the community as a top quality provider of rehabilitation services is unparalleled. Augustana Therapy Services provides physical, occupational, and speech therapy to enhance and maintain stable health conditions while promoting all around wellness.

Transitional Care Unit
The Transitional Care Unit at Augustana is a distinct unit with special amenities for post acute patients. Each room, whether it is private or semi-private, has a personal telephone with a TV available. Augustana Health Care Center of Hastings TCU is unique in that it provides IV and tube feeding cares for high acuity patients under skilled nursing care.

Spiritual care is a valued and esteemed aspect of the Augustana mission. Our chaplain oversees bible study groups and provides individual counseling for residents and their families. Our chaplain also works with area pastors and clergy to provide onsite worship services.

The Care Center overlooks a paved walking trail and pond and is linked by an enclosed walkway to Park Ridge of Hastings, our 80-unit independent senior-living apartments.
